What it is: Water or oil-based exfoliant that can contain mild, gritty abrasives and moisturizers. Often made from salt, sugar or fruit kernals.
How to use it: Used to help remove dry, flaky skin, open pores and leave skin smooth and moisturized. Also used in pedicures to reduce and smooth calluses.

RUSSIAN ALMOND

RUSSIAN ALMOND [ruhsh-uhn al-mend]

What it is: A form of extreme nail that is sculpted to resemble an almond nut shape with exaggerated lower arches to creating an angle at the tip. It has the appearance of a square pipe nail from the side view with apex placed in the middle of the natural nail bed. Looks beautiful with very long and deep nail bed.

PLASTIC PUSHER

PLASTIC PUSHER [plas-tik poosh-er]

What it is: AKA hoof stick; a plastic pusher with a rubber end that is used to push the surrounding nail skin during a manicure.
How to use it: Used instead of a metal nail pusher for sensitive clients or for homecare between salon visits.
How to disinfect: Scrub with soap and water and dry. Then submerge in hospital grade disinfectant.
How to store: After disinfection and sanitization, store covered, in a clean dry area.

What it is: The bones that make up the fingers and toes. The fingertip bone, which determines the overall length, shape, curvature and spread of the nail unit. Each hand and foot has 14 phalanges. Each finger and toe has three, except for the thumbs and big toes that house two phalanges.
