GlossaryLive celebrates the 2024 Met Gala ball's display of iconic fashion throughout history. This regal nail design by Aigul Fritzke was inspired by Christian Diors ``Junon`` ball gown circa 1949. The reflective, light blue irridecent sequins on the petal like layers of the skirt fade into a rich navy outline that commands the eye. The delicate eighteenth-century Dior innovation inspires an understated nail look with bold accents.

GlossaryLive celebrates the 2024 Met Gala ball's display of iconic fashion throughout history. In this episode, Alisha Rimando creates a nail design inspired by Alexander McQueen's infamous clam dress from his spring/summer 2001 collection. In McQueen's words, “My friend George and I were walking on the beach in Norfolk, and there were thousands of `{`razor-clam`}` shells. They were so beautiful, I thought I had to do something with them. So, we decided to make `{`a dress`}` out of them. . . . The shells had outlived their usefulness on the beach, so we put them to another use on a dress. Then Erin `{`O’Conner`}` came out and trashed the dress, so their usefulness was over once again. Kind of like fashion, really.”

This stunning fabric was exhibited at the Exposition Universelle of 1889 in Paris where it won a grand prize.

A champion tech, Dafne has won accolades in Orlando, Vegas, Pasadena and at the first Nailympia Canada in 2019. Dafne is an international judge, who has educated in Japan, the USA, China, Turkey, The Netherlands, the UK, Russia, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, New Zealand, Australia and Greece. She’s also the host of Nailympia Mexico.
