PLASTIC PUSHER [plas-tik poosh-er]

What it is: AKA hoof stick; a plastic pusher with a rubber end that is used to push the surrounding nail skin during a manicure.
How to use it: Used instead of a metal nail pusher for sensitive clients or for homecare between salon visits.
How to disinfect: Scrub with soap and water and dry. Then submerge in hospital grade disinfectant.
How to store: After disinfection and sanitization, store covered, in a clean dry area.

What it is: A disposable slender, thin stick like a pencil usually made from orangewood with tapered ends that proffer one with a point and one rounded for manicuring.
How to use it: Used by nail professionals for cleaning debris from under the free edge, along the sidewalls, for cleaning up polish and many applications in nail art too.
How to store it: Orangewood sticks are disposable and thrown away after each client.
