Jark Hing takes a complex nail art design and simplifies it to present a vibrant image in easy to follow stages. Building the tropical parrot scene in steps allows the artist to follow each part of the process with ease. From placing glitter flakes in the background to adding foliage, then line-drawing the parrot before color pigment powders are used to build up its plummage, the parrot comes to life in the last stages as detailing in black paint is added. By following Jark's steps, it's amazing to see how character art is nothing like as complex as it first looks.
