Anita Chahal has been a working nail professional for 22 years. Feeling ready to take her skills to the next level, Anita began her competition journey six years ago, she notes, “It was when I began competing that I discovered I had a passion for extreme nails. This new horizon in nails pushed me to create bespoke pieces, while also stretching my nail skill levels. Entering competitions was a new personal high as I placed in many international competitions.” Anita’s greatest achievements to date include being able to share her skills with her students and watching them grow and excel in their own nail career. Inside her nail championship and industry accolades Anita has two silver medals from Nailympia London Division 2, a silver in Division 3 Nailympia Germany 2023, a front cover showcasing her extreme nails featured in ‘NailKrush magazine and’ and an article Scratch magazine too.

STEPS

Sculpt the extreme nail to your desired shape.

File to define the shape & structure.

Smooth & refine across the top & down its sides.

Sanitize the structure & remove all dust particles.

Apply 2 thin layers of black UV/ LED gel, curing between layers.

Apply a thin layer of matte top coat & cure.

Using blooming gel, apply to the middle of the nail leaving out the half-moon at the cuticle end of the nail. Do not cure.

Using white gel & a liner brush draw on the rose petals, allowing them to disperse as they mix in with the blooming gel.

Once ready fully cure.

Define the inner petals using a Skinny long brush using white UV/LED gel polish. This will give a highlighted effect, then fully cure.

Using red UV/LED gel polish, apply a thin layer to the rose area only, then cure.

Apply another random strip diagonally with white watercolor paint.

Add further embellishments, crystals & bullion beads to define the area at the top of the nail.

Add needle point & paint it black, using UV/LED black gel. Cure then top coat using a matte top coat & fully cure.

Prep the natural nail using a 180-grit file, remove dust. Apply “Prep It!”, then two thin coats of Flex It! “Cover Peach”, curing each coat for 60-seconds.

Prep Apply a thin, even coat of HD Pro “Matt It!” Cure for 60-seconds.

Use the HD Pro Long liner brush and HD Pro Art Gel in “Graphite” to create a wavy line. Cure for 30-seconds, then rub line with a dusting brush.

How to apply it: Applied from a pot with a gel brush, or from a bottle, the gel is floated onto a nail form or over a nail tip to strengthen, extend and build structure in a nail enhancement, before being cured in a lamp. Also used with gel art brushes to create nail designs.
How to remove it: File off according the manufacturer’s instructions.

What it is: A hybrid formula that combines polymer and oligomer chemistry to create a thick viscocity nail enhancement product that cures when exposed to UV or LED light.
How to use it: Apply directly to the nail, tip or form with a spatula. The nail brush is then dipped into a slip solution and used to sculpt a strong yet flexible nail enhancement. The enhancement is firm and malleable until cured in an LED or UV lamp.

What it is: A set of round metal sticks in varying diameters, which are used to create a perfect C-curve at the free edge of a nail extension.
How to use it: Used to create a perfect C-curve when sculpting a nail extension, but can be used on tip overlay services. Widely used in nail competitions to create the perfect nail shape.
How to apply it: During the curing process, the C-curve stick is inserted under the free edge of the nail. The nail is wrapped around the stick and held into place to create a perfect cylinder.
How to clean it: Wash with warm soapy water, rinse, dry, and wipe with alcohol.
How to store it: Store in a covered container.

What it is: A nail art brush with a small ferrule sized #00 – #01, which houses a small amount of hairs or bristles that are longer than a traditional detail brush, usually 10-30mm in length.
How to use it: Used for painting fine lines and outlining when creating nail art designs.
How to apply it: Load the brush with paint or colored gel and drag along the nail to create a straight line or outline.
How to clean it: Clean or disinfect according to the product used in the brush. Nail artists will designate one liner brush per art medium used, for example one brush for gel, one for acrylic paints etc.
How to store it: Bring hairs together and cover with a cap or store in a container where hair is upright, to avoid damaged.
